How far in advance may I place my cake order?

We recommend placing your order 3-5 days in advance, especially for holidays, special occasions, and events. However, we require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for all orders. If you need a same-day order, please check our same-day availability or contact us directly. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

Do you make custom cakes?

We are sorry that we are not able to accomondate cutomized orders yet.

How can I cancel or change my order?

Due to the tedious, handcrafted nature of our products, we cannot offer refunds or modifications within three days of your scheduled pickup/delivery date. While we appreciate at least 72 hours' notice for any changes or cancellations, we understand that unexpected situations arise. Please reach out to us as soon as you can, and we’ll do our best to assist you.

How do I pick up my cake?

Once your cake is ready for pickup, we will send you an email notification. You can pick up your cake anytime after receiving the notice until we close. When you arrive, please contact us at 408-210-3526, and we will bring your cake out to you.

Where is your Store? Where to Park?

Sweet Please operates as a commercial kitchen inside San Jose's Downtown Food Hall, not a traditional storefront. When picking up your order, look for the San Jose Downtown Food Hall sign at the corner of 3rd St & Santa Clara St.

  • Main Entrance (Walk-in & Wait Inside): 82 E Santa Clara St.
  • Pick-Up Door (Quick Pickup): Located on 3rd St (GPS: 17 S 3rd St). You will see a shelf of Cabby lockers. No need to do anything (do not use the scanner for orders)—just call us.

Once you arrive, call us at 408-210-3526, and we’ll bring your order out.

 

Parking: There is ambient street parking around, as well as nearby garages. If you have trouble finding a spot, give us a call, and we can bring your order to curbside.

Do you offer cake delivery?

Yes, we offer delivery, but only within limited areas. Every Friday, we schedule deliveries to select locations (please refer to our delivery map in the Delivery section). There is no minimum order required. Delivery is free for orders over $80, while a $10 fee applies to orders under $80.

Can I request a specific delivery time?

Our standard delivery window is from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM every Friday. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate specific delivery times. On the day of delivery, we will provide you with a one-hour window. If you need a specific time for your cake, we recommend placing a pickup order and scheduling your own Uber Store Pickup. 

How should I store my cake?

Due to the delicate nature of our cakes, we recommend refrigerating the cake until it's time to serve. For the best quality, please enjoy your cake within 48 hours. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

How can I transport my cake safely while driving?

To transport your cake safely, place it on the floor of the car (the front passenger seat floor is ideal). Drive smoothly, especially over bumpsand around corners. Avoid placing the cake on the car seats, as they are not flat surfaces. 

What should I do if I plan to eat the cake later than the same day I pick it up?

Please let us know in advance! If you store the cake in its original box and refrigerate it overnight, it will look and taste just as great the next day. For optimal freshness, consider picking up your cake as late as possible, and we’ll prepare it as close to your pickup time as we can to help preserve its taste and appearance.
